Programmes as structure, not text.
Type the session the way you already write it. Loadout reads the sets, reps, pace and rest out of it, puts cardio on the athlete's watch, logs the result when the watch finishes, and tells you each morning who needs you. Your words stay as written.
You type

The same session, on a text-based platform and on Loadout.
Most coaching platforms store the prescription as a paragraph. Everything that is slow about coaching online follows from that one choice.
| Text-based platform | Loadout | |
|---|---|---|
| The session | A paragraph the athlete reads on their phone. | Structured sets, reps, load, pace, distance and rest, parsed from the line you typed. |
| Cardio | Athlete copies the intervals into their watch by hand, or runs it from memory. | Pushed to Garmin and intervals.icu as a structured workout. The watch guides every rep. |
| The result | A blank box. The athlete types what they remember. | The activity comes back from the watch and completes the session. Strength is one tap per set. |
| Next block | You type it again, from last block and a notebook. | A draft from a brief, structured, editable, applied in one click. Progression suggested per exercise from what was logged. |
| Who needs you | Whoever messaged last. | The roster ranks stale athletes and low compliance. The morning briefing names them, with a draft message each. |
| History | Scroll back through notes. | Per-exercise trend, records, volume by muscle and compliance, for every athlete, from the structure. |
A week on Loadout.
Desktop for programming, the athlete's phone and watch for the session, and the morning briefing in between.
- SundayDraft the blockA brief per athlete: goal, weeks, equipment, injuries. The draft comes back structured. Edit, apply, done.
- SundayType the weekThe builder parses as you type. "4 x 5 @ 100 kg, rest 3 min" becomes fields above your words. Override anything.
- Monday 06:00It is on the watchEvery cardio session is on the athlete's Garmin or intervals.icu calendar. Edits re-push within seconds.
- Monday 07:40It logs itselfThe run finishes, the activity matches the session, the session is complete. You get the push, not a text.
- Tuesday 07:00The briefingWho went quiet, who hit a record, who is running hot, and a draft message for each. Send or edit.

Anything else, ask us. A person replies.
What is Loadout?
A coaching platform for coaches who programme for athletes. You write sessions the way you already write them; Loadout turns each line into structured sets, reps, load, pace, distance and rest, so the athlete logs with one tap, cardio runs on their watch, and progress is readable across weeks without re-reading notes.
How is it different from a text-based coaching platform?
On a text-based platform the session is a paragraph and the result is a box the athlete types into. On Loadout the session is structure: every set, interval and rest is a field. That is what lets the watch run the session, the result log itself, the roster rank who needs attention, and the AI draft the next block without you retyping anything.
What does it cost?
Free for up to 2 active clients with no time limit. Above that, 49 USD a month (about 39 GBP) including 5 active clients, then 5 USD (about 4 GBP) per extra active client per month. Annual billing gives 2 months free. An active client is one with a session scheduled, logged or commented on in the last 30 days.
Does the AI write the programme for me?
It drafts. You give it a brief (the athlete, the goal, the block length, the equipment, the injuries) and it returns a structured draft you edit before applying. The parser then structures every line as you type. Your words are kept as written and you can override any field. There is no chat window; the AI works inside the builder.
Which watches does it work with?
Sessions are pushed to Garmin and to intervals.icu as structured workouts, and intervals.icu forwards them to Garmin, Wahoo and Zwift. Activities come back from Garmin, Strava, intervals.icu, Apple Health and Health Connect, and a TCX file can be uploaded by hand. A matched activity completes the prescribed cardio session on its own.
What do my athletes use?
The Loadout athlete app on iPhone and Android, or the web app. Today's session, one tap per set, a grid for the sets that went differently, their history per exercise, messages and comments with you in real time. You invite them from the roster; they never see a signup page.
Is my athletes' data shared or tracked?
No. There are no analytics trackers or advertising pixels on the site or in the apps. Each coaching organisation is its own boundary; an athlete's data is visible to their coach and to them. Athletes can export everything or delete their account from Settings.
I train without a coach. Is there a version for me?
Yes. Loadout Solo is the same engine with the system as the coach, built for people preparing for military selection, basic training and fitness tests. It lives at loadoutsolo.com.
